We are always trying to keep our clients active and having fun. When caring for the elderly one of the most important things to remember is not to lose sight of their self worth. As we age, bits and pieces of our independence are taken away little by little. Ask for help as often as possible, even when you don't need it. Here are a few suggestions:

  • When making a meal ask for advice
  • Instead of telling them to do things, give them choices
  • Create projects such as putting stamps on envelopes, sorting pictures or coupons
  • Fold towels and socks
  • Put away silverware
  • String cranberries outside for the birds
  • Water plants

And much more.
